On 12th July 2025 at 1pm Wrawby Hall will open its doors to the local community for a very special celebration, marking two years since over 9,000 bikers came together to grant a resident’s wish.
In July 2023, the story of Peter, a much-loved resident of Wrawby Hall with a lifelong passion for motorbikes, touched the hearts of people across the country. When staff at the home shared his wish to see bikes he’d never seen before, they never imagined the overwhelming response. On the day, thousands of bikers from across the UK rode through North Lincolnshire in an amazing show of solidarity, granting Peter’s wish in a way that moved everyone who witnessed it. The event made national headlines and reminded us all of the power of community, compassion, and connection.
This year’s event is not only a chance to relive that incredible day, but also to bring people together again in celebration of what care and community can achieve.
We would therefore like to invite the residents of Wrawby and surrounding villages to join the street party at Wrawby Hall on 12th July where there will be:
- Live music from a talented local singer
- Disney character appearances for the little ones
- Face painting and family entertainment
- A delicious selection cakes
- And of course, more bikes!
All funds raised during the event will go towards the Trust Care ‘Wishes’ initiative, helping to make more dreams come true for residents at Wrawby Hall.
“We love to create an environment where our residents are not only cared for but are supported in a way that they continue to enjoy making plans and wishes,” said Wrawby Hall Care Home Manager, Danielle Naylor. “Peter’s story showed how something so simple as to a love of bikes, could bring together thousands of people. We’re proud to create those meaningful moments for our residents and look forward to creating many more.”
